Top Landscaping in Houston
Home to over 2 million Texans, Houston is the fourth most populated city in the country. It's named for General Sam Houston, who won the Battle of San Jacinto in 1836, giving Texas independence from Mexico. Since then, though, Houston has become a city focused on the future. It's well known for Space Center Houston as well as being home to NASA's astronaut training and flight control complex.
There are a lot of museums in Houston, so there's something for everyone. The Houston Museum of Natural Science has an extensive collection of skeletons and space station models. Children's Museum Houston, founded by a group of families, has interactive exhibits about science, technology, and history. The Space Center has over 400 artifacts related to space travel. The Downtown Aquarium houses 200 species of exotic sea creatures, fit into a six-acre dining and entertainment complex. Don't forget to check out the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, which features 64,000 works from six continents.
Feel like you've learned enough for a lifetime? Relax at The Galleria, a shopping center with over 400 high-end stores, food outlets, and other stores and shops. It even has a full-size ice rink and a children's play area. It's Texas' largest mall with enough to do, see, and buy to keep everyone occupied for the entire day.
Texas Rock Gym is a popular place to hang out. It features over 14,000 square feet of climbable surfaces, allowing every age group the chance to test their strength, balance, and climbing abilities. They also provide safety orientations and training classes, as well as yoga, tai chi, and kung fu. Families also frequent Topgolf, where everyone hits micro-chipped golf balls at various targets. With electronic scoring, you can see who in your family has the best aim. Or try indoor skydiving at iFLY.
Need a break from the kids? Check out the Saint Arnold Brewing Company, Houston's oldest craft brewery. They brew several different beers, available in grocery stores and bars throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Florida. Stop in for a tour and then enjoy lunch with a beer, of course. Visit the JPMorgan Chase Tower, a 75-story skyscraper that's over 1,000 feet high. It's the tallest building in Texas. It offers free rides to the observation deck, where you can get a fantastic view of the city.
Houston has endless entertainment for the entire family, whether you want action, spectacular views, or unique art and artifacts.
