Best Landscaping in San Bernardino
San Bernardino is an Inland Empire city known for its beautiful scenery and Southwest charm. Established in 1851, the city covers most of the San Bernardino Valley. The valley was referred to as "the Valley of the Cupped Hand of God" by the indigenous tribes that once inhabited the area. Those same tribes were the ones who discovered the nearby hot and cold springs. They found them after following the direction of the huge arrowhead-shaped rock formation on the side of the San Bernardino Mountains.
The nearby San Bernardino National Forest makes for endless opportunities for outdoor adventures. Lake Arrowhead, Lake Gregory, Mount San Gorgonio, and Heart Rock Trail are a few favorites. Even the Rim of the World Highway that runs through the forest makes for a thrilling car ride.
The people that live here also have a high appreciation for arts and culture. The biggest event of the year, the four day Route 66 Rendezvous, is one of many major annual events. San Bernardino hosts the Berdoo Bikes & Blues Rendezvous, the National Orange Show Festival, and the Western Regional Little League Championships.
The Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art is a local haven for art lovers. San Manuel Amphitheater is the largest amphitheater in the United States. The Fox Theater downtown, built in 1929, was recently restored. For museum fans, there's the San Bernardino History and Railroad Museum and the Norton Airforce Base Museum. Kelso Depot and the Pillars of God are favorite historical sites.
San Bernardino might be best know as the birthplace of McDonald's. The Original McDonald's Site and Museum makes for a one-of-a-kind trip down memory lane.
Sports fans in town love a nice day at the ballpark. San Bernardinans are lucky enough to enjoy the passionate play of the California State University of San Bernardino Coyotes. This NCAA Division II athletics program is well known for its stellar baseball team that plays their home games at Fiscalini Park. The city is also home to the Inland Empire 66ers, the Los Angeles Angels' Single A affiliate. They play downtown at San Manuel Satdium.
The city itself is located to the east of Los Angeles and just a few hours west of Las Vegas. That means that people who live here can enjoy big-city attractions and still get the benefits of a small-town vibe. It has easy access to the beach, the city, the forest, and the desert, making it a great hub for all kinds of day trips.
