Are there watering restrictions in Pearland, TX?
Pearland officials are urging residents to voluntarily restrict water use for landscaping in the wake of continuing parched conditions and high water demands.
Residents are asked to voluntarily limit outdoor watering to between 6 and 10 a.m. or 8 and 10 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Additionally, residents with odd-numbered street addresses are asked to water their lawns and landscaping only on odd-numbered calendar days while those with even-numbered addresses are asked to water on even-numbered days.
People are asked not to water on the weekends when demand on the city's water system is at its peak.
The call for voluntarily water conservation was issued Thursday after three consecutive days as of May 31 when Pearland's total daily water demands exceeded 70 percent of the city's water system's operating capacity, officials said

Does Pearland, TX have long / overgrown grass ordinances?
So, the Pearland City Council has amended the ordinance that addresses residential/commercial property maintenance. The amendment requires grass be kept under 9 inches, but that’s the minimum standard when comparing to other area cities. Code Enforcement processed more than 2,000 cases in 2014 with 17 percent of those cases being for high grass, weeds and brush.
